About the Chief Scientist and Owner of Cibus Consulting LLC
Pierre Faa, Ph.D.
With 29 years of experience in research, development and innovation in the food industry, I am the Chief Scientist and Owner of Cibus Consulting LLC, a global consulting firm that supports various endeavors in the food sector. I have a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Grain Science and Industry from Kansas State University. I also have 11 years of college teaching and research.
My passion is to create new and improved products and processes that meet the needs and preferences of clients and consumers. I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results and solutions in various areas of food science, such as legumes-based snacks, bread snacks, pretzels, crackers, fruit and vegetable research and snacks, salty snacks, frozen and refrigerated appetizers and pizzas, and restaurant-style pizzas. I have also contributed to the advancement of knowledge and technology in the field, as evidenced by my patents and scientific publications.
My expertise includes baking science, cereal chemistry, ingredient functionality, low moisture snacks and intermediate moisture snacks.
I am always eager to learn new skills, explore new opportunities, and collaborate with other experts and stakeholders in the food industry.
